Champs Day went fine, and I must say that I was so touched to see my stjohn cadets all running towards us when we shouted "Stjohn, SQUEEZE!"
They're so loud, and never fail to make me proud.
Yes, I guess its very hard for me to say bye to stjohn...
My sec one days were extremely tough, and I still rmb that i never fail to report sick for every muster parade. It seems like after every activity my bones are gonna tear apart, and so does my ligaments and muscles. I do love those footdrill sessions under Ma'am Atikah, Sir Adrian, and Sgt Augustine. Though stjohn was very tough, somehow i begin to love this CCA, and i always boast to my friends and my cousin in NPCC about how fun and tough stjohn was. Hahah, and i also rmb that we would get so excited about every upcoming camps, esp abt solo walk night. Not to forget Sgt Christopher's 1000plus pumpings for first aid lessons! Lol, we didn't do till 1000plus even though we did circuit pumpings. Nah, then there was a long period of time whereby liying and stephanie were not on good terms, then i sided with liying to create nicknames like ham ji peng for stephanie. But obviously, they grew so close tgt after time. (:
Then everytime whenever we saw seniors, we would detour just to avoid them, hahah. But the CPN was extremely fun! :D And thats also the first time i danced. (:
Then was my sec two days. Been selected for ITC, and i would still rmb how we called Sir Siyong as the DI : Demon Instructor or something lidat. Hahah, glad that i was given a chance to teach. And so i paired up with tianrong to teach my own squad. Not very good though, since we were greenhorns, but thank to my squadmates for letting me learn and grow as a fresh FIT. Next, was promoted to LCP, and was kinda disappointed. Come to think of it, i would rather not get double promoted. Cause if i did, my head will swell to so big. Also got selected to join compteam, and i must say i really really learnt alot from my trainers, in many aspects. It was also that period where we trained so hard after our lousy performance during mockcomp. Oh yah, i also joined the 60th anniversary contingent, as well as NDP'05.
Come sec three, it was zonecomp. I wouldn't forget how late into the night we would train, how we were so tired but couldn't give up. How our trainers always stood by our sides. And ofcourse we have kahmeng's lame jokes and many funny incidents together training. So come 1st april, we came in 2nd and NC NA first. NC went on to clinch the Nationals' 2nd title. ((: Not forgetting the inter-UG comp, and we trained for three days like hell. Thanks to Mr. Goh too. So we came in first for both sections, and afterwards we took over the corps. Problems began to surface, then it wasn't really easy dealing with some of them. But just wanna say that, we always made it there as a squad.
Sec 4 year was much depressing at times. The role of being a trainer wasn't easy at all, but i managed to pass on whatever i knew to AC. Though they always upset me, i really had a great time training them. Especially when they made improvements, and when relationships among the team started to get better. Nothing could beat that feeling when I saw how they worked so seamlessly together as a team. And also when i saw how leaders begin to emerge from the sec 3s, i couldn't be any happier.
And those gifts from the juniors esp trng dept & AC touched me so much.
I really appreciate those little gifts plus the photo thing done up so nicely for us!
